The Oncology Center at Magdeburg University Hospital cordially invites patients, their families, and anyone interested to an informational event on the topic of lung cancer. Experts from various medical specialties will provide insights into modern diagnostic and treatment options and discuss the latest developments in lung cancer care. The focus will be on providing clear information, answering personal questions, and facilitating direct dialogue with medical experts. The event is free of charge.

During the event, experts from various specialties will present medical knowledge in an accessible format regarding the current care of patients with lung cancer. Presentations from the fields of pathology, pulmonology, radiation oncology, and thoracic surgery will demonstrate how these different disciplines work closely together to provide individually tailored and optimal treatment.
The program includes topics such as the importance of pathology in the diagnosis of lung cancer, the radiation therapy process, the preparation for and performance of lung cancer surgery, as well as modern drug therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.

The event will be opened by Prof. Dr. med. Thorsten Walles, University Clinic for Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery, Magdeburg, and Prof. Dr. med. Jens Schreiber, University Clinic for Pulmonology, Magdeburg.
