July 8, 2026 - Magdeburg University Medical Center is expanding its services for children and adolescents with severe and chronic illnesses: At the new day clinic, numerous treatments can be provided on an outpatient basis. This reduces the need for hospital stays and improves the quality of life for affected families. At the same time, the new facility strengthens specialized pediatric care.

July 7, 2026 - The School of Medicine has adopted new guidelines on preventing discrimination and addressing abuse of power. The guidelines are intended to provide guidance, raise awareness, and help foster a respectful and discrimination-free work and learning environment. We spoke with Dean Prof. Dr. Daniela Dieterich about the background, goals, and significance of this issue for the faculty.

July 3, 2026 - Since the turn of the year 2025/2026, activities related to rare diseases at Magdeburg University Hospital have been restructured: The Magdeburg Center for Rare Diseases (MaZSE) coordinates patient care and is part of the established Central German Competence Network for Rare Diseases (MKSE).
